Juicy Joker NEIPA

We are so excited about this we can't keep it a secret anymore, next week we're releasing a new core beer and it's an absolute beauty!

Our top seller Joker IPA was originally launched wayyyyyyy back in 2006, named such by Scott as the beer had a contrasting bitter-sweet flavour that brought a smile to our face. Although it evolved slightly in the early early as new hops came on the market (Citra & Mosaic notably) it firmly found its feet with a solid recipe that has stuck. Then in 2012 we tweeted about a "double joker brew day" meaning two batches of Joker were being brewed back to back, however there was a bit of a misunderstanding and the cries of " how strong is Double Joker?...I can't wait to try it!" were so loud we decided to brew a 8.3% version for fun, little did we know Joker's bigger brother would be here to stay. Now ten years later, we have decided we are not done with the Joker family yet... Introducing to you, Joker's hazy, hoppier but slightly less bitter brother JUICY JOKER NEIPA.

ALL THE JUICY DETAILS:

We’ve taken the juiciest elements from our current duo of Joker’s and cranked their volume up to 11. Dialling up the juicy hops and introducing more oats and wheat to give it that smooth mouthfeel the style is known for, all while keeping the strength at an easy drinking 5% ABV. There has clearly been a growing thirst for hazy, hoppier beers over the past couple of years and while we have brewed some specials along these lines, there has never been a core beer in our portfolio that ticks these boxes... until now!

Monkey Barrel Comedy (Edinburgh) - Thursday 28th Apr from 6pm - "Sneak Peek" ft. Juicy, Double & Original Joker
Inn Deep (Glasgow) - Friday 29th from 5pm - Pouring the full Joker trio: Juicy, Double and OG Joker.
Kegs are also due to pop up over the weekend in: Nice 'N' Sleazy (Gla), Joker & The Thief (Edin), Brass Monkey (Leith), Brass Monkey (Leith & Drummond St), Wings & Wings 2 (Edin), Montgomerie Arms (E.K.), St. Lukes (Gla).

Juicy J will be kicking off with a listing in 22 Scottish Sainsburys' stores, it should start appearing on shelves from the 1st of May.
