About the job:

Williams Bros Brewing are recruiting for an experienced On-Trade Account Manager to join their sales team.  Are you connected within the on trade with a passion to drive beer sales?  We are looking for the right person to make a significant impact in one of Scotland’s top independently owned breweries.  You will play a key role in expanding their presence in the UK on trade market and driving profitable sales

Salary: Dependent on experience

Location: Hybrid Working – regular travel required to customers, events and the brewery.  A vehicle will be provided

Hours/Days of Work: Full time permanent position, Monday – Friday 37.5 hours, however flexibility is required as there may be weekend or evening work to support business needs such as events

The role:

As an On Trade Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing the existing customer base across the UK on trade, but pivotal to the role is growing the customer base and sales across pubs, bars, restaurants, hotels and on trade wholesalers. This is a hybrid role, focusing on developing and growing the distribution and sales of the brewer's products. You will ensure customer requirements are met and business opportunities are maximised.  Attendance at industry and customer events may be required and as such, evening or weekend work may be required on occasion.

 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Drive New Business Acquisition: Within direct delivery network while strengthening partnerships with wholesale partners to expand Williams Bros branded sales
  • Business Growth with current customers: Manage existing relationships to expand the portfolio of listings and future proof volume and sales growth
  • Customer Management: Deliver and ensure excellent customer service and customer satisfaction.  Work with relevant stakeholders to achieve targets
  • Reporting: Provide regular updates on account developments
  • Direct Reports: The On Trade Business Development Manager will report into you
  • Reports to: MD

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • Experience in selling into pubs / on trade wholesalers
  • Demonstrable on trade sales track record
  • An established network across the Scottish On Trade.  A network within the wider UK market is desirable
  • Strong communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in industry CRM systems and experience in reporting & forecasting.
  • Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Drivers licence is essential
  • Personal alcohol license preferred, but not essential as training can be provided
